Hwy. 9 over Hwy. 1, 15 km. east of Calgary, required the erection of 21 girders that were over 8 feet (2.5 m) deep, 140 feet (42.5 m) long, and approximately 76,000 lbs. (35,000 kg) each. Supreme Bridge Division was able to erect them in a single weekend. Staging the girders near site at a crane supplier’s yard allowed us to get the girders out of our yard and close to the site to provide continuous erection.
