The Victor Diamond mine is an open pit mine located in the James Bay lowlands of Northern Ontario. It is the first Diamond mine in Ontario, and construction began on the mine in the winter of 2006. Design and detailing on the project began in early 2006, and fabrication of all the steel was completed in January 2007.
The Victor Diamond Mine Project is a joint venture design-build project between Supreme Steel and Walters Inc. Work involved fabricating and installing over 4000 tonnes steel and cladding for a processing plant, workshop, bins, and several smaller structures.
